In this episode, Historian V Sriram is talking about the history of Sir Thomas Munro. Major-General Sir Thomas Munro (27 May 1761 – 6 July 1827) was a Scottish soldier and colonial administrator. He served as an East India Company Army officer and statesman, in addition to also being the governor of Madras Presidency. He loved India and he loved Indians. V. Sriram is narrating the kind heart of Sir Thomas Munro. He is also telling us about how his memorial statue was established at Madras (Now Chennai). Even after the independence, his statue is remaining with us, because of Munro's noble heart that is recognized by India's last Governor-General Chakravarti Rajagopalachari, popularly known as Rajaji.
