Soft shell crabs are a rare delicacy that are also perfect for fishing bait. Using a standard hard shell crab is wasteful because you can't use the hard shell. With the soft shell crab you can use every bit of it as fishing bait! We are surf fishing using soft shell crabs, and BOY DO THEY WORK! Next time you can get your hands on some, be sure to buy one or two extra for your fishing.
