DIY Crown Race Removal & Install - No Special Tools, Screwdriver, or Damage!

Here is my first real DIY tech tip video where I show you how to remove and install that pesky crown race with no special tools, such as a crown race removal or crown race setting tool. As I discuss in the video, this method uses razorblades and causes a lot less damage and marring that a screwdriver can cause. However, razorblades are sharp and can cause injury so just be dang careful! Also hitting metal on metal, such as a hammer on a razorblade can cause fragmenting, so wear safety glasses!

This method can seem tedious but really only took a couple minutes to remove the race and only cost me $2 for the blades.

Installation is even easier! just a $3.30 piece of 1.5" x 2' PVC pipe, and whack it on! Bam! Done! So easy!
