Amarnath Yatra :-
Although there are many pilgrimages to pilgrimage sites in our country, but Shri Amarnath Yatra has its own special significance. This journey takes place every year in the months of July and August. Amarnath cave is in Anantnag district of Jammu and Kashmir state of India, which is at an altitude of 13500 feet above sea level. And in this cave, Him Shivling is formed naturally every year.
This journey starts from 2 places, from Pahalgam side and from Baltal side. From Pahalgam side, it starts from Chandanwadi which is 32 kilometers and from Baltal side, this journey is 14 kilometers.
From both sides, this journey is done on foot, by horses, palki and also by helicopter.
In today's video, we will do this journey from Pahalgam side by helicopter.
For booking helicopter, first a medical certificate has to be taken which is taken from the health center designated by Shri Amarnath Ji Shrine Board. We can know about the center from the website of the Shrine Board, which is

After getting the medical certificate, we have to upload it on the site to book the helicopter ticket. For Helicopter booking site is

We reached Srinagar from Shaheed Bhagat Singh International Airport, Chandigarh. We had a night stay in Srinagar.
Next morning we left for Pahalgam from Srinagar. On the way, there is Pampore which is famous for its saffron cultivation all over the world.
After reaching Pahalgam, we got our RFID cards made and then left for Panchtarni by helicopter.
After a 10 minute helicopter ride, we reached Panchtarni at 1.45 p.m. Whether you come by helicopter from Baltal or from Pahalgam, Panchtarni is accessible from both the places.
There is a 6 kilometer route from Panchtarni to the holy cave.
To go from Panchtarni to the holy cave, you can find horsemen as well as palanquin bearers.
If you want to go to the holy cave on foot, you can go on foot as well.
It will take you 2 to 2.50 hours to go on foot one way.

You have to keep in mind that the army will not let you go to the cave after 2 pm from the gate of Panchtarni.

We left for Darshan at 1.45 pm and reached the holy cave around 4 pm.

After Darshan, we left around 6.30 pm and reached Panchtarni at 9.30 pm.

After reaching Panchtarni, we took langar in the bhandaar and slept there and the next morning we left for Pahalgam by helicopter.
