Today I am Discovering Marsden Grotto: A Hidden Gem
I am joined on this trip my Mrs. Teesside Traveller, my wife Kim !

We took a one hour drive up to South Shields to the lovely Marsden Grotto

The weather was horrible and the sea was so rough due to a phenomenon called a Spring Tide - even though it was still winter at time of filming - But it didn't dampen our spirits, in fact it made it so cosy in our hotel room!

We had dinner at a lovely restaurant, 10 minutes down the road at Seaburn - The House of Zen, also known as 'The Fat Buddha'

After our meal, we then went over the road to a great place called The Stack. A bit like a food court , but for grown ups and live music ! A great evening, we both really enjoyed !
