Hello everyone! Today we’re going to jump right into a TBC DRUID guide! Druids are pretty well rounded in TBC being quick levelers, doing well in PVE as restoration, and nearly un-gankable in world pvp at level 68 when you get flight form, and are top tier for arena and battlegrounds as well.
That being said we’re going to jump into explaining Druid’s strengths. The first one being fast leveling speed.

Alright so WHAT CHANGED from Classic to TBC for druid.
Let’s start with talents
They renamed a bunch of talents from improved xyz to a unique clever name, not going to read them all off to you.

Starting with the BALANCE TREE:
Natural weapons is gone from balance and baked into the resto tree under the Naturalist Talent
Omen of Clarity and natural shapeshifter were both moved over to the resto tree as well.
Insect swarm was added to the balance tree, as well as lunar guidance, Balance of power, Improved Faerie Fire, Wrath of Cenarius, and force of nature.

Moving on the feral tree
Feral Instinct and thick hide both went from 5 point talents to a 3 point talents making them better
Primal Fury and Blood Frenzy were combined into a single 2-point talen t called Primal Fury, which is a buff
Heart of the Wild increases attack power instead of strength in Cat Form
Leader of the pack crit bonus increased from 3% to 5% and improved leader of the pack was added granting crits a 4% total health heal with 2 points.
Talents added in burning crusade are nurturing instinct, primal tenacity, survival instincts, predatory instincts, and mangle. Overall lots of nice
RESTO
Last up the resto tree
Improved Enrage is gone, improved healing touch has become naturalist and includes the damage bonus from natural weapons. Insect swarm is moved to balance from resto and natural shapeshifter was moved from balance to resto, along with omen of clarity. Subtlety now also reduces the chance your spells will be dispelled by 6% each point. And the following talents were added to the resto tree: Empowered touch, Living Spirit, Natural Perfection, empowered rejuvenation, and Tree of Life.

This is your cookie cutter bear tank spec, the link to this is in the description below, and this is your bear tank stat priority. In a nutshell you want to cap your defense rating and armor first, then stack lots of stamina. This next part is about notable gear for bear tanking, you’ll want to try to pick up earthwarden, idol of terror, badge of tenacity, and the clefthoof set is a great starter set for bear tanks, note that the set bonus requires leatherworking which you should get because you can also make wardrums.

Up next is a cookie cutter resto build. This build relies on heals over time instead of healing touch, and is going to be more mana efficient than other builds. However, you’ll be doing more overhealing in this build than say a dreamstate druid healer.
Next we’re going to talk about resto druid stat priority, and at the top of the list is +healing done by spells and effects, then spirit, then mp/5, and last stamina. Each of these 4 are important stats to focus on, in that order.
And our notable gear for resto druid’s are the whitemend set and the primal mooncloth set.
