Passengers Flee After Driver Killed When Car Flies Off Freeway In Anaheim

02.28.2020 | 12:05 AM | ANAHEIM - The driver of a vehicle that flew off a freeway was dead and three occupants from the vehicle reportedly fled the scene on foot, early Friday morning.

Authorities responded to reports of a vehicle that flew off the southbound I-5 Freeway and landed on the Katella Avenue transition around 12:05 AM.

Units arriving on scene located white Honda coupe with the driver still seated suffering from major injuries.

Firefighter paramedics pronounced the driver deceased on scene.

Officers believe three passengers from the vehicle fled the scene on foot after the crash.

It was unclear why the passengers may have fled the scene and the cause of the crash remains under investigation.
