A grey-tipped hummingbird hawkmoth (Macroglossum saga, family Sphingidae) visiting orange flowers of marigold (Tagetes patula ‘Bonanza Orange’, family Asteraceae) in the roadside flowerbed to feed on nectar with its elongated proboscis. The nonstop wingbeats in hovering were recorded at 240-fps high-speed movie or 8x slow-motion. Captured in the sunny midafternoon (around 15:10 PM) of early-November 2023 in Japan.
