Most of the humans love to pollute the environment.
Even if some humans try to clean the environment, they always expect something in return, or do it for their own benefit.

The rate at which the population is growing, humans will be forced to hide or flee to another planet in order to run away from this trash.
If humans are able to take over other planets, they would get a temporary solution for avoiding the trash. However, their mentality would remain the same, which isn't a permanent fix.

The only logical thing to do, would be to use that very greed which caused the destruction, to fix this mess.
If any Human by chance finds some money in the trash, he would never ignore trash the same way again, as his mind will always be curious about checking more trash for money.
This can be done on a larger scale, organizing "trash hunts" in the most polluted places, where the organizers could bury money at different places, that money could lure people into cleaning the trash.
The main motivational force for the humans who clean trash in the present, is due to the desperate need of money.
Trash Hunts would not only encourage poor people, but the middle class and rich would also be encouraged to take part, whether its for getting that money or playing it as a sport, displaying the true instinct of the human, which is greed.
