Описание к видео The Never-Ending Case - Cerattepe

The anti-mining movement in Artvin has a history going back more than 25 years, and it is the longest-lasting local environmental movement in Turkey. Cerattepe is located just a few hundred meters above Artvin city center, and as stated in the expert report dated 2014, Artvin, as we know today, will cease to exist as long as mining continues at Cerattepe. Neşe Karahan from Green Artvin Association, one of the most important and influential members of the 25-year-long anti-mining struggle, tells the story of Cerattepe, the court cases and the never-ending struggle of Artvin people for their lives and city.
