"Wheelhouse Junction" started out as a block party acoustic only duo in 2013. When New York drummer, Craig Cefola moved to the Tampa suburbs and met Tampa native, James Arthur, the two hit it off and played block parties for the local residents. Soon after, the writing and recording process brought over 20 songs that eventually turned into the debut album “Band Wagon”. The name "Wheelhouse" comes from Jim's vocal style. We constantly needed to find songs to perform in his "Wheelhouse" and Craig found it funny that Jim had never heard that expression. The word "Junction" reminded us of a place where 2 trains would meet. As Jim and Craig lived a few doors away, they always passed each other on the block and typically met in Craig's garage to write, perform and record. A classic garage band story! Most of the songs were originally written as simple Acoustic Guitar and light percussion performances. Alex Algarin joined the band a few years later and the trio recorded the follow up “CALVO” in 2018. Alex plays Lead Guitar, Electric, Bass and even Violin on the album. The third album “The Covers EP” pays tribute to some of the band’s favorite classics.

Thanks for giving our band a listen.
Cheers!
Jim, Craig & Alex
