His Holiness Gyalwang Drukpa once shared:
"Gender equality is a very important topic in Buddhism. The Buddha taught equality not only between men and women but also among all beings and all things, which should be treated with fairness and respect. In terms of men and women, Buddhism never suggests that men are superior and women are inferior. A country with a culture of respecting women often prospers."

He also expressed his aspiration:
"I dedicate my life to practicing virtuous deeds that promote gender equality and uplift nuns and female monastics for the benefit of all sentient beings."
