We're probably going to wrap this one up today, I think, the
promise to live as becomes--here, let me just--I'll quote it exactly.
"I resolve and promise and humble reliance upon the grace of the Holy Spirit
to endeavor to live as becomes the followers of Christ."
And so we talked about sanctification (WCF XIII - Of Sanctification), what does it mean to grow in holiness, and what is sanctification and growing in Christ-likeness. And then we talked about good works (WCF XVI - Of Good Works). What are good works. And then we talk about different views of sanctification across evangelicalism.

Today, we're on the final page six of this handout. We're going to talk about (WCF XVII - Of The Perseverance of the Saints). This doesn't necessarily have to do with "I will endeavor to live as becomes a follower of Christ", but it's sort of there to make sure we understand that even as we're endeavoring to live as becomes a follower of Christ, our eternal destiny is safe and secure in
Christ, right? It's not dependent upon our endeavoring. So that's what this perseverance of the saints is about. So this is chapter 17, just three short paragraphs dealing with the perseverance of the saints ...
