Experimenting With Chrome Restoration - Alclad II, Green Stuff World, Mirror & Molotow

Описание к видео Experimenting With Chrome Restoration - Alclad II, Green Stuff World, Mirror & Molotow

Many vintage toys from the 70s and 80s feature chrome which was usually applied with a vacuum metallizer process.

But years later, the chrome often wears, so what can we do to restore the chrome to its former glory.

I experiment with several different chrome paints - Molotow, Green Stuff World, Mirror (from Stuart Semple) and Alclad II. Comparisons are made between applying with brush and airbrush.

A black base coat is also tried to see if it provides a deeper reflective chrome finish.

It is known that many chrome paints are not very resistant to finger prints. A top coat is also tried to see if this can be fixed.

The airbrush used is a cheap all-in-one from Elikliv...
