I wandered down to Stratford on April 13, 2014 to watch the 'swan release' (for the spring, summer, and fall season) better known as the Swan Parade or Swan Festival, which is organized by the Stratford Civic Beautification and Environmental Awareness Committee. As the Avon River against which the event was situated is a tributary of the Thames River, I thought it ideal to capture some footage and photos as to the area's 'recreational and natural' appeal, as these considerations are important as to the Thames River's designation as a 'Canadian Heritage River'. And I am happy to know that the City of Stratford and area volunteers are planning their own river cleanup within the next couple of weeks, as they have done for many years. So consider this 'one community supporting another'.

And yes, there is a chat about how important it is to assure waste is kept away from the tender tootsies of our swan friends.
