Blueridge BR-180 vs Martin D-45

Today's comparison video features pearl vs pearl: Blueridge BR-180 vs Martin D-45. The Martin D-45 is the flagship of the Martin Guitar lineup - and one of the most iconic guitars ... ever. The Blueridge BR-180 is Saga Music's answer to the legendary D-45, as both instruments are considered the top of the line, in their respective catalogs.

The Martin D-45 features solid sitka spruce over solid east indian rosewood & abalone pearl trim at every turn. The tonewoods on the rival BR-180 are the same, but the Blueridge is finished in a dark vintage toner, that looks more pumpkin orange than the D-45 Martin's aged yellow look.

The Martin D-45 has a wide 1 3/4" nut and the Blueridge BR-180 is a narrow 1 11/16. BR-180 comes with a heavy duty gig bag, and the D-45 comes in a premium 545 Geib hardshell case. The D-45 is made in the USA and the BR-180 is made in China.
