Central to the witness and testimony of the Christian faith is the message of the Gospel and shapes everything we do.   The word “Gospel” means good news and refers to what God did to bring all people into a relationship with Him. This Gospel includes liberating humanity from the power of sin and freeing them to love God, to love people, and to love themselves. Because we desire to declare this freedom, we value:

Compassion — At the heart of the Gospel is God’s compassion for the world. He modeled compassion by declaring the Gospel to the elite and common, educated and uneducated, and wealthy and poor of His time. Jesus also demonstrated compassion for sick, spiritually oppressed, and marginalized people. So we intentionally seek to be like Jesus in all that we say and do. Mt. 9:36, 14:14, Lk. 7:13, 10:13,

Justice — The witness of the Bible equally describes God as just, good, and right. Because of human pride and rebellion, God’s justice demanded intervention for humanity incapable of helping themselves. Because God acted on behalf of the world, we desire to act on behalf of others. Rm 3:21-16, 5:8, Col. 2:13-15, 4:4-6

Love — The core of everything we do and seek to rest on the foundation of love demonstrated by God’s action in the world. Rather than demanding retribution from each person, He demonstrated “grace” by offering His Son Jesus Christ on our behalf. Therefore we desire to demonstrate “Love in Action” in how we live out the Christian life in our home, in our neighborhood, and in our city. Jn 3:16-17, I Jn 4:9-12
