A Model School: Making It Our Own

Holyoke is planning the construction of a new middle school to replace the poorly designed, energy-inefficient William R. Peck Middle School that no longer meets the needs of a modern education. The City of Holyoke, Holyoke Public Schools, and the Massachusetts School Building Authority (MSBA) are working with Mount Vernon Group to develop a schematic design for the new building that is based on a model school that has been successfully built for three other school districts. This video offers a look inside Goodnow Brothers Elementary School in Marlborough, MA—which was built using the same model design—to get a feel for what the new school in Holyoke would be like.
