Prolonged stressful environment at home or at work — Family problems, loss, illness, conflicts, work issues; all of these have a huge impact on mental health and drain the body.
Overloaded life schedule — When you have to do everything without the opportunity to properly rest and recharge, the body’s adaptation mechanisms begin to fail.
Prevention of nervous breakdowns relies heavily on self-help and understanding how to support yourself.
If you feel that you’re about to “break down” right now, do the following immediately:
Wash your face with cold water or dip your face in cool water. If that’s not possible, apply ice to your face.
Focus on your breathing — Watch your inhales and exhales carefully.
