Team GB are the women's curling olympic champions. The curling gold is team GB's first in twenty years. Team GB's first and only gold medal of the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics. The win on the day before the 20-year anniversary of Rhona Martin’s famous heroics at Salt Lake City.

The team included Eve Muirhead, Vicky Wright, Hailey Duff and Jennifer Dodds. (Alternate: Mili Smith)

The japanese included Satsuki Fujisawa, Chinami Yoshida, Yumi Suzuki and Yurika Yoshida.

Dodds was quoted saying "I’m speechless. I’m so proud of these girls, the way we played in final and and the whole week. It’s incredible. We built on every game. I just want to say thanks to our friends and family. They know how much this means to us."

Wright was quoted saying "Everything that has happened has made us a lot stronger. We started the season as a nine-man squad and that gradually slimmed down, which is pretty stressful. We've had some tough times but we've come through stronger. We are here to win but we are also here to enjoy it. We have realised that if we enjoy it, we have always performed better."
