India have started their campaign at the U19 World Cup 2026 with a solid six-wicket win in their Group A opener on Thursday (15 January) at the Queens Sports Club in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe. Medium pacer Henil Patel was the star of the show for India with a five-wicket haul to his name. He gave away just 16 runs and took five wickets. USA were bowled out for 107 but India's target was reduced just a few overs into their chase to 96 due to lot of time being lost because of rain. Abhigyan Kundu smashed a quick 42 not out to take India home.
