I So, I have been looking forward to going to Sanya, China for a long time, I've lived in China for a few years but never experienced Sanya but was told a lot about it. My friends usually go in a villa, but this time we decided to get a villa first for a few nights, then head to a hotel, we thought it would be great just to have our own space, but as soon as we arrived at the villa, the security guard shouted from a distance "No Foreigners" We got close and explained that we have booked, and paid, but he refused to listen and kept saying no foreigners are allowed in. The manager came, and she said the same thing, we don't accept foreigners here, she said. Our Chinese friend rang the manager, and after about 6 hours we were let in, but the place didn't look anything like the pictures, it was dusty, dirty and smelled, maybe we could have ignored all that if there was no racism or discrimination, but that affected us, so it didn't help our decision.

I love it here in China, this is just a case of a bad apple. I'm sure the next hotel will be great.
