"Fear of a Blank Planet" from Porcupine Tree's "Fear of a blank Planet" album (2007).
It's always fun to /transcribe/record/play some Porcupine Tree songs. Usually a lot of repetition and no insanely difficult riffs which is great for me of course.
Anyway, I was surprised when I found out that I had to use some distortion for this song. I thought that Colin Edwin was a bit like Martin Mendez from Opeth. Why? They almost never use any effects and play real basslines that really add bottom to a song.
The riffs are pretty straightforward so I can't really explain anything. Oh also, the chorus fill at 1:45 is what Colin plays live. I just could not make out the notes in the studio mix so I replaced it with these higher notes. Oh and at 4:08, you can see me playing a 6 instead of an 8. A dumb mistake indeed.

Some important information that nobody is going to read.
