Kieran Culkin talks about how he almost wanted to pull out of Jesse Eisenberg’s second feature as a director, “A Real Pain,” given the emotional ringer of “Succession.” Culkin and Eisenberg were at Sundance for the film, bought by Searchlight, and stopped by the IndieWire Studio presented by Dropbox to discuss this unique story of two cousins on a journey through Poland to discover where their grandmother lived. Eisenberg, whose ancestry traces back to Poland, received his Polish social security card right before arriving at Sundance.
