Siama's Congo Music - Feel-good sounds from the Heart of Africa

BIO: Back in Africa, Siama Matuzungidi recorded his signature Congolese guitar on hundreds of songs and toured the world with popular soukous artists. Now based in Minneapolis, Siama's known for his intricate guitar, spirited vocals, entrancing mbira, catchy songs and for his collaborations with accomplished musicians of many genres. Siama recently picked up the mbira (African thumb piano) and he's composing songs inspired by traditional Bakongo music and rumba he remembers from home. This inspired him to create a new kids' CD, "The Land of Yangalele" ("happiness" in Kikongo) which received a Parents' Choice Parent-Approved award and a Creative Child Preferred Choice award.
