Some characters take a while to resonate with readers and find the right writer that can make them great. Spider-Man is not one of these characters. From his very first appearance, he grew into one of the most recognizable superheroes in comics and the very symbol of Marvel. He has enjoyed many great runs by many great creative teams, and despite going through some dark periods - I'm looking at you, clone saga - has never left the spotlight.
