Robert Schumann's Fantasiestücke, Op. 12, is a set of eight pieces for piano, written in 1837. The title was inspired by the 1814–15 collection of novellas, essays, treatises, letters, and writings about music, Fantasiestücke in Callots Manier by one of his favourite authors, E. T. A. Hoffmann. Schumann dedicated the pieces to Fräulein Anna Robena Laidlaw, an accomplished 18-year-old Scottish pianist with whom Schumann had become good friends.

Hi, welcome! My name is Elisa and I’m a piano teacher. I got my BA in Public Health but I was practicing all the time instead of studying (oops) and decided to go to music school for piano. I became a church pianist for 6 years and a piano teacher after that. My favorite thing to do is explore different kinds of piano music and record them. I have a small studio here at our home but also teach at a local studio. As a piano teacher I feel I need to be constantly improving, and that’s what this channel is about!
