Miley's POV:
When I got home, almost everyone was staring at me with puzzled faces. "Where have you been?" I heard a voice call. I looked up, it was my mom. She was crossing her arms with anger. "Detention".. I muttered. "Huh? Talk louder Miley." she said to me. "I was in detention." I replied back to her. "Detention?" my dad asked. Oh, & did I forget to mention? My dad abuses me. Well, my mom doesnt know. My dad's a gold digger. No, he does not pick his nose. He is married to my mom just cuz she is rich. Not really; rich. But, she has a good amount of money. "Well, I gotta go to work." my mom annouced as she kissed my father, "Be good, Miles." she said as she started to head out the door. "She will, but I won't..." I heard my father mutter. My mom didn't hear cuz she was halfway out the door. She left. I saw my father go towards me in anger. "Well, well, well." I heard my dad ask as he walked towards me, lighting his cigarette. "What do we have here? A 15 year old girl that isnt doing so good in school." He started. "Well, I'm sorry. I just--" I tried to continue to talk, but I felt his hand grip on my neck. "No excuses, Miley." He warned. "We wouldn't want anyone to get hurt here, now, would we?" he said to me, tightning his grip on my neck. "I second that." I managed to choke out. He punched me in the face. He started laughing, as he put his cigarette out. I just layed there, in pain.
{END OF POV}

Miley: wakes up W-what happened?
Tess (miley's mom): You were bleeding on the floor with a lot of bruises on your face. rubs mileys forehead
Miley: I was?
Tess: Yes, you were. Nobody knows who did it. Your dad was at the store & somebody, we dont who, managed to punch you in the face. almost crying
Miley: flashbacks come running thru her head
Tess: Do you remember?! worried look
Miley: Y-yeah. I know who it is.
Tess: Really, who?!
