The Migration Division Videos | Offices of the Government of Puerto Rico | CENTRO

Описание к видео The Migration Division Videos | Offices of the Government of Puerto Rico | CENTRO

The collection of film shorts produced or commissioned by the Migration Division was a very valuable resource through which the agency disseminated its services (e.g. Un amigo en Nueva York, Un amigo en Chicago) and/or oriented potential Puerto Rican migrants (e.g. Invierno en Nueva York, Los beneficiarios). Many of the shorts (e.g. Visita importante) were produced by Viguié, a film company in Puerto Rico known for producing the news series that preceded the feature films in the education halls. The films are of great value for documenting the experience of the Puerto Rican diaspora.
