Описание к видео Book Review: Northwest Passage; Ken Roberts; Fictional Story Closely Based on Real Man

This is a very old book written by an author who is long since dead at age 71 in 1957. He left us something amazing to read. Northwest Passage was the second most popular book behind, "Gone with the Wind". A movie was created a few years later which focused on the first half of the story.

I am amazed at the detail they go into on the mannerisms of the Indians and people of the time. You could meet any of these people from the 1750s and have a regular conversation with them in modern times. Their personalities don't seem much different than people of today.

This written back in the days when movies were still in black and white. This was before computers when spell checkers were still human. The thoughtfulness and detail are just amazing. I loved this book.

The war with the French and indians was very bloody and brutal. The persecution of Major Rogers seemed very unfair.

This is the guy who Robert Rogers was fictionalized after:

Ofcourse, they knew things back then that
