Sounds of Healing is a multicultural musical experience for and about healing. A collaboration between Saffron Caravan, Genesis at the Crossroads' professional world music ensemble and youth who are Genesis Academy Summer Institute graduates talented in music and creative writing. Sounds of Healing began during the pandemic and started its live, in-person world tour in 2022 at Chicago's Adler Planetarium.

June 2023 we will be performing on Capitol Hill in Washington, DC performing for the US Congress and then to Chicago. These programs will be followed by longer artist-in-residency programs in Mauritius, Africa in December 2023 and Berlin, Germany and Normandy, France in June 2024, the latter as part of the 80th Anniversary D-Day celebrations. American and international youth across the socioeconomic spectrum will be involved in a year-long program of creative writing, music education, and STEAM learning to delve deeper into healing people, our communities, and our physical planet. Our lyrics competition is open to all participants.

Sounds of Healing is the first program out of our Genesis Peace Hub, the physical legacy piece of Genesis at the Crossroads, our 23-year-old not-for-profit organization. We build peaceful communities at the intersection of social justice, education, and the arts to foster healing locally and globally.
