How To Build A Smoker Trailer: Installing Tandem Axles Assembly

Trying to figure out how to mount tandem axles on your smoker trailer?

In this video I show you how to mount a basic tandem axle set up to your trailer frame.
I showed you how to build the trailer frame in the last few videos, and now you'll see why I like to frame my trailers upside down, the axle components are super easy this way!
by the way, it is highly unlikely you'll get the exact axle components that I have so it is best to use this video as a reference then make sure to get the installation instructions for your exact axle from your supplier or the manufacturer.
Each one has their own specific dimensions, parts, and specifications for assembly.

Last time I leaked some of this footage there were a lot of comments about the springs and how I mounted them. I did the research and called the manufacturer. The rivet in the spring pack is in place to prevent the spring leafs from sliding horizontally. not to prevent them from splitting open incase you hit a road obstacle.
The spring pack is only riveted on one end because the majority of the leafs need to be able to have a slight amount of freedom to expand and contract as the spring pack is loaded and unloaded.
If it had a rivet on each end, one rivet could shear upon loading.
direction of the rivet has no bearing in the performance of the spring pack.
