Interior Concept Design for a mid-century-modern spy-house. The project is my contribution to Nick Stath's course on LearnSquared. Had great fun during the whole process.

The brief called for the design of a mid-century-modern house for spy agents having a house warming party in 1975. Two agents are discussing the next mission while two others listen from the bar. Key references here were architects like John Lautner and Archibald Quincy Jones. Functional requirements were the lounge, a bar, dining area, a fireplace, a terrasse with a pool, lots of plants and built-in furniture with art and sculptures.

My approach consists of a composition of circles intersecting, which creates a number of playful shapes and spaces, while seperating and sequencing the locations subtly. Different materials and lighting schemes are used to give each area a distinct atmosphere. Additionally, by working with circular elements the resulting lines guide the viewers focus throughout the space, and create natural focal points.
