In this is video I reflect on the “grief” that follows limerence. While this is my experience with limerence, I acknowledge that this isn’t everyone’s. I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention that to get to the point where I am in this video I went through the perils of cognitive dissonance and pure delusion. This is not to romanticize limerence, but rather to give hope that they too can get to the other side.

During the “false” recovery phases, it feels like you miss the person. But what you really miss is the fantasy of them. You don’t need permission to grieve that. Limerence is an involuntary state of mind that some people suffer more intensely than others, even still I believe that we have the ability to direct our behaviors and our awareness towards things that bring us freedom.
