Alison Fujito, violinist

NOTE FOR STUDENTS AUDITIONING FOR TEXAS ALL-STATE ORCHESTRA: my tempo is roughly quarter note = 60, which is within your required tempo of 54-66.

I'm using the Galamian edition, and sticking mostly to those fingers, EXCEPT FOR measure 197 and also the second-to-last measure, where I decided at the last minute to go up on the G string just for fun. I got the idea from Liviu Prunaru's wonderful video, you should check it out! And you should try this fingering, because it IS fun -- but best to stick to the printed fingering for TMEA auditions.

THE INSTRUMENTS:
violin made by Philip Injeian op. 111, Pittsburgh, PA 2017
Bow made by Rodney D. Mohr ("NuBow"), made from bamboo and other sustainable materials (including lab-grown opal eye and slide, very cool!) Ashland, OH 2024

THE DOG
Charlotte, a hound rescued from a shelter, and unofficial mascot of the international RodeRunners violin/viola group.. She sleeps a lot.
