FRONTIER KNIFE - Full Review of the Schrade SCHF37 Frontier (SCHF37M)

August 18th is my mom's birthday so watch this review of the SCHF37 to honour her. :) The Frontier knife is a good all round outdoors knife. It has a hollow grind that has a robust thickness behind the grind making it okay for minor chopping and good for batoning. You can get this knife either in 1095 high carbon steel or in 8Cr13MoV stainless steel and the corresponding TPE or Micarta handle scales.

The Schrade SCHF37 and SCHF37M are XL Bushcraft knives with 7-inch blades, and roughly 6-inch cutting edges. The knives could also be considered Survival or even Hunting knives as they are designed in such a way that they can perform many different jobs. You have your option of either carbon or stainless steel but once you have chosen your steel you have no choice of handle materials. So if your handle materials is the deciding factor then you have no option for steel type. The stainless steel blade always comes with Micarta scales and the carbon steel blade always comes with the TPE handle in the SCHF37/M model.

It is a good knife, robust, strong, and durable with the extra equipment of a dedicated Ferro rod and striker and a sharpening pad you have a good all in one solution. I recommend this knife.
