In "Battlerock Barrage" and "Breaking into the Battlerock," Mario had been going around wrecking the giant rock-shaped spaceship when he found out it's been helping Bowser kidnap Lumas. Mario won't tolerate any alliance with Bowser unless he's part of that alliance, so he continues his rampage across the Battlerock.

Topmaniac and his Topmen crew are now out and about to see what's been going on, and as it seems, they can't stop the juggernaut in plumber's garb. Mario creams them, though theyll return later, much better armed in the Dreadnought Galaxy.
