Transiting Southend Class D controlled airspace

This is a short video showing a zone transit through Class D controlled airspace, centred around Southend Airport EGMC. This isn't provided as an example of textbook radio calls, but rather an example of how accommodating Southend Radar were when requesting a zone transit.

This video shows a typically helpful service from Southend Radar to allow a transit via their overhead, tracking south from Hanningfield Reservoir to Sheerness whilst they were vectoring an Airbus 319 in for an ILS approach. A similar clearance for transit was also granted on the return journey. Visibility was excellent, but there was a reasonable amount of turbulence on this day in July, 2015. Aircraft was a Cessna 172.
