Описание к видео Postlude on Psalm 150 - Stephen Barber [Johannus LiVE III AGO]

This Postlude on Psalm 150, is very specifically based upon Verse 3 of the Psalm: Praise him in the sound of the trumpet, and is written in the familiar tuba tune/trumpet tune idiom, here making good use of the Stockport Choir Tuba. This piece is included in the first volume of Sortie Sorted, published by @ChurchOrganWorld. To order, click this link:

It is played on a Johannus Live III AGO organ, using the sample of the fine Forster and Andrews instrument (as rebuilt by Compton) in St George's Church, Stockport. The sample sets can be heard from four positions: console, front of the church, centre of the church, rear of the church. This recording uses the rear of the church position.

The image used at the start and end of the video is taken from the Utrecht Psalter for Psalms 149 and 150 and shows praising God with trumpets (tubae in Latin), from the Utrecht Psalter. It is in the public domain, via Wikimedia Commons.
