Описание к видео How To Treat Foot Blisters (Like A Pro)!

Blister treatment is a skill a lot of people get wrong. It makes their blisters take longer to heal and it makes them more painful than they need to be. Ok, let’s look at how you can set yourself up to manage foot blisters on the go.

PRODUCTS YOU'LL NEED
✅ BLISTER BANDAIDS: https://www.blister-prevention.com/be...
✅ HYDROCOLLOID BANDAGES: https://www.blister-prevention.com/hy...

▶ 0:00 - INTRO
The best case scenario is you start at blister prevention. It really is your best chance of a no-fuss and pain-free time. Prevention is the key.

Failing that, if you're lucky you'll get a warning called a hot-spot. And you can start doing something about it here. If not, you'll be negotiating the slippery slope of blister treatment ... but let me warn you ... it's complicated!

▶ 1:45 - Hot-Spot Management
But, if you neglect prevention or you’re unsuccessful with it, you might still get lucky and avoid a blister. You might get a brief sensation of heat called a hot-spot. This is your warning that a blister is on its way.

OK, moving on. So you've missed the blister prevention boat. What comes next? Well, it depends on the integrity of your blister roof, which will either be intact, torn or deroofed.

▶ 2:46 - FOOT BLISTER SCENARIO 1: INTACT BLISTER ROOF
Scenario 1: So let’s say you’ve discovered a blister on your foot and the roof is still intact.

Here's What You Need To Do:
• Dress your blister - We know the majority of blisters will tear ("pop") if you put your shoes back on and just hope for the best. So the very least you can do is dress your blister to keep it clean, just in case. You'll need an island dressing. An island dressing has a middle bit that doesn't stick to your blister, with the outer bit being adhesive – so it keeps dirt and germs out. You know it’s important not to stick anything to an intact blister. Or the blister roof might tear when you remove the dressing. https://www.blister-prevention.com/be...
• You need to check it regularly to see if the roof becomes torn. Because if this happens, you need to do extra stuff to make sure it doesn’t become infected.
• Reduce pressure - You can cushion it – with cushioned insoles or silicone gel covers. Or even better than cushioning is pressure deflection in the form of felt donut pads.
• Reduce friction - To reduce friction you need to make it more slippery. How do you do that? There’s really only two ways that will make a difference once you’ve got a blister: Lubricants; ENGO Blister Patches.

▶ 4:42 - FOOT BLISTER SCENARIO 2: TORN ROOF
Now for the next blister treatment scenario – the toen blister roof. Your aim is to keep the roof in place, even though it has torn.

Here's What You Need To Do:
• Apply antiseptic (like Betadine)
• Dress your blister – just like before.
• Reduce pressure – just like before
• Reduce friction – just like before
• Monitor regularly for infection

To Prevent Infection:
• Disinfect your hands
• Use a sterile dressing
• Monitor regularly for infection
• Seek medical attention if in doubt

What Are The Signs Of Infection?
• Pus
• Increased pain, swelling, redness, warmth
• Red streaks extending from the blister (medical emergency)

▶ 5:49 - FOOT BLISTER SCENARIO 3 - DEROOFED
Scenario 3 is a deroofed blister - where the top of the blister has rubbed off leaving a red raw sore.

Here's What You Need To Do:
• Apply antiseptic (like Betadine) – same as before
• Dress your blister – but with a hydrocolloid now there’s no skin on the blister.
• Reduce pressure – same as before
• Reduce friction – same as before
• Monitor regularly for infection

So that’s it. Now here’s something I hope you noticed. If you get a blister, you still have to use the best of the preventative strategies. Plus you’ve got all the extra stuff of antiseptic, dressings and monitoring. Not to mention the pain and the downtime for it to heal … Imagine if you just got prevention right in the first place, life would be so much easier.
