The Bloody Bastion (Urdu: خونی برج), also known as Khooni Burj or Bloody Tower, is a historic structure located along the old City Wall of Multan, between Pak Gate and Delhi Gate on Alang Road. This bastion is a remnant of the city's fortifications, which were destroyed by the British in 1849.

The tower has a significant and bloody history. It is traditionally believed that Alexander the Great was injured at the site during his invasion of the Indus Valley, and his forces retaliated by slaughtering local armies, civilians, and animals, leading to the ground being soaked in blood.

However, the bastion's most notable association is with the Siege of Multan in 1849, during which fierce fighting took place between the Sikh forces and the British forces, specifically the 1st Bombay Fusiliers. It was during this conflict that two British emissaries were killed by Sikh rebels. Their bodies were buried at the site, contributing to the bastion's ominous name. After the British captured the bastion, the graves of the two emissaries were relocated to the Multan Fort.

Today, the Bloody Bastion stands as a historic reminder of the brutal conflicts in Multan's past, particularly during the era of Alexander the Great and the colonial period.
