Marisa Paige Butler graduated Cum Laude from Stonehill College in Easton Massachusetts with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics and a minor in Business Administration, also earning an athletic scholarship for soccer, lacrosse and cheerleading. 








She studied abroad at King’s College London, where she specialized in Environmental and Political Economics.








Last year Marisa became a certified Leave No Trace Trainer, and has led awareness workshops with the Miss Earth USA organization and with Big Brothers Big Sisters.








She once lived on a catamaran for two weeks off the coast of Puerto Rico with NOAA’s Corporative Shark Tagging Program, where she collected data on endangered sharks, the longest running shark study in the world.








Marisa also grew up in front of a wildlife preserve where she assisted in rehabilitation for sick, injured and orphaned animals.








She is the founder of a community clean up organization called ‘We Clean Trails’ that meets every weekend to remove litter from natural places. As a group they have removed approximately 10,000 lbs of litter from San Diego since 2020.
