TRX-4 Sport - Transmission Clicking Fix

This is how I fixed the transmission clicking or ticking sound that I had on my TRX-4 Sport Unassembled Kit. I tried clocking the driveshafts, transmission front & rear output shafts, and even replaced the driveshafts with MIP units...but the clicking didn't stop. I haven't seen anyone solve or even address the clicking noise so I wanted to share what I did that works.

This may not work for all TRX-4 models as the Sport is a single-speed transmission, but the premise is the same and could be applied elsewhere.

Arrma Shim used on secondary input shaft (these won't work on 3-gear transfer side due to OD too big for bearing pocket)

I used 4X clutch bell shims for the transfer gear side I had around and measured 5x8x0.25mm. These would be perfect.

Or you could use 2X Traxxas PTFE washer that's same as what's in trans already.

The key is to maintain some freeplay to not cause binding but to minimize the movement and keep the transfer gear off the trans housing.
