📍 Location
Sarab Kahman and Kahman Valley are located in Selseleh County, near the city of Alashtar, in Lorestan Province, western Iran. This beautiful area lies about 15 km north of Alashtar, in one of the most pleasant and temperate regions of the province.

The valley is situated in the northeastern part of Selseleh County and is considered one of the region’s most important geotourism attractions.

🏛️ Historical & Cultural Significance
🕰️ Kahman Valley dates back to prehistoric times and was officially registered as a National Heritage Site of Iran on May 8, 2001, under registration number 3755.

👑 According to local history, the large rock formations of Kahman were believed to serve as resting thrones for ancient Iranian kings during periods away from governance. Evidence of this belief includes ancient stone platforms, large jar-like artifacts, and nearby sites such as Takht-e Shah (King’s Throne) Spring. Some remains may also belong to a throne built during the Qajar era, located among springs and walnut trees.
