Finally Living Up To Its Potential? Ford EcoSport Review

The Ford Fiesta has been the best-selling car in the UK for many years, therefore you would have thought that a small SUV based on it would sell out like ice cream on a hot summer's day. Well, the last generation of the Ford EcoSport didn't exactly live up to its potential.

Is the new model able to improve things?

The model tested here is the ST-Line, which starts from £20,095. It offers features such as sporty styling, 17" alloys, sports suspension, 8" touchscreen, navigation, smartphone connectivity, rear parking sensors/camera, climate control, cruise control, plus more.

The engine on test is the 1.0 litre turbocharged EcoBoost three-cylinder petrol, which offers 123bhp with 170Nm of torque. This power is fed to the front wheels via a 6-speed manual gearbox. 62 comes in 12.7 seconds, and the top speed is 111mph.
