There's a reason they call Iron Mountain the hardest day hike in the San Gabriel Wilderness - nearly 7,000FT of climbing in 7 miles, with the last 2 covering 3,000FT of vertical... it's definitely one of THE STEEPEST trails we've ever ascended.
