Mars voor de gezwinde pas nr. 5 (Fife and Drum Sheet Music)

Описание к видео Mars voor de gezwinde pas nr. 5 (Fife and Drum Sheet Music)

"Mars voor de gezwinde pas nr. 5" originated from "Marschen en Signalen voor de Tamboers en Pypers van de Armée," a Dutch fife and drum manual by the Dutch-German composer Jacob Rauscher, written in 1815 for the newly reformed Dutch-Belgian army.

A PDF of the manual can be found here (http://www.grenadiercompagnie.nl/Best....

I used MuseScore Studio to create both the sheet music and audio (using the MuseSounds plugin as well).

The images are as follows:
1. A depiction of the Prince of Orange with the 5th Battalion National Militia at the Battle of Quatre Bras. They defended the farmhouse of Gemioncourt, before being pushed back by the French, later attempting to retake the farmhouse several times, suffering 62% casualties.
2. A depiction by Jan Hoynck van Papendrecht of Chassé's Division at the Battle of Waterloo. This unit was vital in the Allied effort to break the French Imperial Guard, helping to rout the Grenadiers of the Guard.
3. An early version of "The Prince of Orange at Quatre Bras" by Jan Willem Pieneman, a battle painting depicting William, Prince of Orange (later to become William II) encouraging Dutch troops.
4. A painting depicting Dutch artillerymen of Krahmer de Bichin's Battery placing their guns in position against the French Imperial Guard at the battle of Waterloo.
