Описание к видео Simon Mattsson, Australian sugarcane farmer - Soil Health Trial

Reef Catchments Sustainable Agriculture Program.
Simon Mattsson is a second generation sugarcane producer on the banks of the Pioneer River in Marian (Mackay, Australia). Simon is passionate about soil health and has travelled the world as a Nuffield Agricultural Scholar to bring back new ideas to the farm. This multi-species intercropping trial is part of the Reef Catchments Sustainable Agriculture Program and looks at how to restore soil health and biology to cycle nutrients and carbon for production and environmental outcomes. The idea came from travels to North Dakota (USA) where trials of multi-plant species in corn have been successful. Results for the three year project will be available online - find Simon Mattsson on Facebook for more.
