Exploring stacked area charts | data viz makeover

When communicating data, especially in a business setting, starting with simple visuals like bar charts is a great place to begin. The more we add to these charts, however, the more difficult the key insights are to discover. This video takes a look at a stacked bar graph which is failing to articulate its call to action clearly, and through the exploration of different visuals, discovers how a stacked area chart can continue to display an appropriate level of detail and crucially provide our intended message in a clear and compelling way.
