Alta - Main Street to Mambo to Meadow to Nina's

Описание к видео Alta - Main Street to Mambo to Meadow to Nina's

Main Street to Mambo to Meadow to Nina's is a ski run of varying difficulties located at Alta Ski Area. The trails run from the summit of the Collins chairlift down to the Wildcat Base. The run begins to the skier's left of the top of the chairlift on High Main Street, an advanced trail that runs straight down the side of the mountain and features a steep drop. At the bottom of High Main Street, Main Street, an intermediate trail, stays to the left at the intersection before turning to the right. The trail features a series of moderate pitches before merging onto Mambo, another intermediate trail, before reaching a short runout near the Collins mid-station. Past the mid-station, I stayed to the right to ski onto Meadow, an intermediate trail that crosses underneath the chairlift and features a slight pitch. At the next intersection, I stayed to the left to ski onto Nina's, an advanced trail that features a steep drop as it runs straight down the mountain to the Wildcat Base.

Alta Ski Area is a ski area located in Alta, Utah. The resort is located in Eastern Salt Lake County, about a 40-minute drive southeast of Salt Lake City. The ski area is located at the end of Little Cottonwood Canyon and is one of two ski areas located in the canyon, the other being nearby Snowbird. Alta is well-known for its high snow totals, regularly seeing over 500 inches of snow each ski season, receiving the most snow of any ski area in Utah and some of the most snow of any ski area in the entire country. Alta is also famous for its advanced and expert terrain, including some extreme areas which require hiking to reach such as Devil's Castle. The resort also has plenty of high-quality intermediate runs off of every lift. Overall, Alta has little beginner terrain, all of which can be found off the Sunnyside Lift, however, the beginner terrain they do have has some striking views. Alta is one of three ski areas in the United States that does not allow snowboarding, the other two being nearby Deer Valley and Mad River Glen in Vermont. Due to the ski area's close proximity to Snowbird, skiers may ski between the two resorts, given they have an Alta-Bird Pass or ticket or an Ikon Pass. Alta is privately owned by multiple different families but is a partner on the Ikon Pass, granting full pass holders 7 days split between Alta and Snowbird. Alta is not included on the Ikon Base Pass, however, skiers can upgrade to the Ikon Base Plus Pass to receive 5 days of access at Alta, again, combined with Snowbird.
